The Sussex Slam is designed to help increase the amount of cricket that clubs can offer its members in an inclusive way and as such there are rulings to prevent players of a particularly high standard from inappropriately participating. However, this has to be balanced against the potential to exclude players who have been caught by a rule that isn't designed to prevent players of their standing from competing and/or unfairly impact upon their team.
The exemption process is there to help get around these anomalies.
It's there to ensure that those players that just help out at a higher level at times of poor availability aren't 'rewarded' by then becoming ineligible for a particular Slam competition.
Also, it's there to enable teams to request part exemptions from either the batting or bowling restrictions so that their higher level bowlers, who usually bat way down the order, are free to bat anywhere in the order, and similarly their top order batsmen, who rarely have a bowl, can do so at any point in the innings.

As such, teams are permitted to request exemptions from all or part of rule PEW.3 each year via the online form ONLY.
Those granted exemptions are listed below along with the ruling (and part of) they are currently exempt from. Note that a team may have an exemption granted that does not appear on their list below at the time of their next match. It is that team's responsibility to declare to their opponent written evidence from the Competition Manager for any such exemption along with details of ALL current player exemptions valid for that match, prior to the toss being conducted.

If the team you require is not listed below then it should be assumed that they have no exemptions against PEW.3 unless evidence is shown to the opponent by them in advance of the toss when their next match is played.
