The regulations below apply to BOTH the Hard Ball and Soft Ball variations unless stated.

  • PKW.1a - For avoidance of doubt, the wicket shall be 20.1168 metres (22 yards) in length from stumps to stumps for Hard Ball matches.
  • PKW.1b - For avoidance of doubt, the wicket shall be 18.288 metres (20 yards) in length from stumps to stumps for Soft Ball matches.
  • PKW.2a - The boundary shall be between 40 and 50 metres from the centre point of the wicket for Hard Ball matches.
  • PKW.2b - The boundary shall be between 35 and 45 metres from the centre point of the wicket for Soft Ball matches.
  • PKW.3a - The fielding circle shall be marked with appropriate WHITE discs and be placed between 25 and 30 metres from the centre point of the wicket for Hard Ball matches.
  • PKW.3b - The fielding circle shall be marked with appropriate WHITE discs and be placed between 20 and 30 metres from the centre point of the wicket for Soft Ball matches.

KIT

  • PKW.4 - If not already owned then 3 match balls shall be provided to each team by The Sussex Slam.
  • PKW.5 - For 2020 there is no mandatory requirement to wear coloured kit although at least a coloured shirt is encouraged.
The Sussex Slam has a partnership with SHARKS CRICKET to provide all teams with a reasonably priced option for coloured kit that puts the teams fully in control of what they would like to appear on their kit.

For the avoidance of doubt, teams are not obliged to source kit from SHARKS CRICKET

post match

  • PKW.6 - Wherever possible at this time, the facility shall be provided for the visiting team to purchase beverages after the match.

For clarity, this does not mandate any team to provide a full bar, nor that the hosts have to provide food. This rule is to ensure both sides are able to get a drink after the game.
