The Sussex Slam is based upon our overriding principle of getting MORE CRICKET PLAYED BY MORE PEOPLE, as such it employs:
- player eligibility rules to ensure a level playing field;
- playing rules to ensure each match is fast-paced and accessible for the busiest of players;
- regionalised groups to minimise travelling time;
- flexible fixture windows to help teams fit matches into already busy schedules;
- batting and bowling restrictions to ensure everyone participates;
- bold imagery and social media to enhance engagement in the competition;
A RECORD SEASON AHEAD
All being well, we have a record season ahead of us in The Sussex Slam.
110 teams in the Men's and 16 teams in the Women's are our highest ever numbers and combining that our commitment to every team getting at least 5 matches means that we will be pushing 400 Slam matches this Summer.
